It is with broken hearts filled with sadness that we share of the sudden and shocking passing of Scott Alfred Blackburn.
Scott passed away in Puerto Maldonado Peru at the age of 60.
He is now home with his Lord and Saviour, and in the arms of his daughter Tatiana.
Adored and amazing husband of 28 years to Tracy, loving and protective father of Tatiana, Caleb & Jaxon, foster Papa to 95+ Peruvian children, and Father in law to Matthew Collins. Predeceased by his parents Bruce & Kathleen Blackburn. Big brother to Tom ( Marion ), Uncle to Josh (Charmayne) & Sarina.
Scott grew up in Scarborough through his childhood and teen years.
He then served with the PPCLI from 1982-1985 and travelled through Canada, as well to Cyprus and Germany peace keeping.
Scott and Tracy met in 1993 and were married in 1996. They raised their children in Barrie & Oro-Medonte where they started and ran a large masonry business. Much of his time was spent at his church Emmanuel Barrie, as well as being a hockey dad.
Scott’s biggest passions were being a dad/ papa, and encouraging others to succeed.
For the past 9 1/2 years he devoted his life to serving orphans and the children of Puerto Maldonado, PERU.
He is best known for his big smile, large personality, loud voice and contagious hearty laugh. He loved to spend his time helping others. No project was too big, if there was a will there was always a way.
He will be forever remembered for the way he loved his wife and children well.

Matthew 18:5 “And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.”
