Richard Archibald William “Ric” Townsend

Died suddenly at his home in Barrie, Ontario on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Ric is survived by his daughters Emma and Isabella Townsend. He will be sadly missed by his mother Lynn Townsend (David) and his father Richard Townsend (Shirley). Forever remembered by his sister Tracey Matheson (Brad) and their children Sydney, Brighton, and Carter. He will be missed by his many friends, cousins, and family. Ric’s life was his girls, and distance did not change the love he had for them.

A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 1 -4 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie (Enter at Dunlop Street. Turn right into 15 Cedar Pointe Drive and follow along the Highway 400 side of building, parking and main entrance is beside the Barrie Enforcement Services Office).

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations or non-perishable food items to the Barrie Food Bank would be appreciated by the family and accepted at the funeral home.
