With a heavy heart, we announce the death of our beloved Judith "Judy" Burrows, a caring mother to James (Simone), Shane (Erin), Currie (Adele), and Deborah (Kai) and a proud grandma to Meagan, Aliesha, Jules, Thomas, Johnathan, Brian, Nick, Annika, and Isabella. Judith passed away peacefully with family at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Monday, May 28th. In her final days, she was kept company by family and close friends.
Judy was born in 1943 in northern Ontario and spent many years in the Sudbury area, where she wed her late husband, Thomas. She leaves behind her siblings: Peggy (Gerry predeceased), Pat (Chris), David (Jo Anne), Douglas (Clara predeceased), and her sister-in-law, Terry (Brian).
No one could brighten Judy more than her grandchildren. She would light up and show the biggest smile when they walked into the room. Judy also loved playing cards, coloring, board games, watching TV, animals and plants. She was a mentor and a best friend to all. Judy would never pass up an opportunity to talk and laugh with her friends and family. Known for her sharp wit and loving demeanor, Judy will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Judy’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others, not the sadness of her passing. A celebration of Judy's life will be held at a later date.
