Joanne Boilard was a caring and joyful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away suddenly on September 23, 2022 at the young age of 57. She is now reunited with her loving parents, Lucien Coursol and Marie-Ange Ducharme.
Joanne is survived by her husband André, four children Stéphanie, Nicole, Patrick, and Marc, grandchildren Rémi and Camila, and her four brothers Daniel, Norman, Claude, and Gérald.
Joanne met the love of her life, André, at a wedding. They immediately bonded and travelled between Sudbury and Toronto to see each other many times, before marrying on August 30, 1986. As they were expecting their first child, Stéphanie, they relocated to Schreiber, Ontario where all their children were born and raised. Joanne was a beloved member of the community. She loved to go camping with her family, playing card games together, and throwing darts with André and friends on Friday nights.
In 2006, they relocated to Barrie, Ontario. Joanne went back to school and began a second career as an Early Childhood Educator. She touched the lives of all the children she worked with and found great joy in preparing crafts and activities for them.
Joanne, with her infectious smile and laugh, and her joyful personality, will be greatly missed by all her family, friends, coworkers, and students.
Friends will be received at LEGACY FUNERAL HOME 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 1 to 4 p.m. A private family interment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Barrie at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
