It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bert Schaly. Bert passed peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on Tuesday June 4th at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Henny Schaly. Loving father of Wally (Deanna), Frank (Sigrid), Albert (Bonita), Cynthia Retford and Clarence Mcgillivary. Cherished grandfather of Nathan (Jen), Nicholas, Sarah, Lisa, Sabrina, Alissa, Michaela, The late Kyle Retford, Cody and Nick. Great grandfather of Zachary. Dear brother of Hank (late Henny), the late Lynn and (Tom Grasmeyer), Arie (Joyce), Tys (Eleanor), John (Helen) and Alida (John Eisses). Dear brother in-law of the late Hank Nyhof (Gertie), Carrie Ploeg, Willem Nyhof (Janice), the late Rose and John Verchuur, the late Willy Nyhof and the late George Nyhof.

Bert will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, neighbours and many many friends. Bert was very friendly and outgoing and loved to step in and help even when not asked. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral service will be held at The First Christian Reformed church on 33 Shirley Avenue Barrie.
