George Bromilow

Passed away with family by his side at Bon Air Long Term Care Residence, Cannington on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Bonnie (Madeline née Mitro). Loved father of Bonnie Bromilow, Tina Laface (Chris), Dorothy Bromilow, and Lisa Bromilow-Carriere (Eric). Cherished grandfather to Luca (Claudia), Ariel (Jacob), Blake (Cassy), Erica, Brendan, Caleb, and great grandfather of James. George will be deeply missed by his siblings John, Helen, Alice, and numerous Nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents William Bromilow Sr. and Rose Bromilow (née Godsalve),and siblings James, William Jr., Mary, and Daniel. 

Born in Cochrane, Ontario and raised in Kapuskasing, George spent 16 years working in the mill for Placer Dome mine, raising his family in Dome Ext. (South Porcupine). He was an avid outdoorsman with a love for camping, hunting and fishing. George loved bird watching and he always knew what the weather would be like or what was happening in the world. He was always one for telling jokes, and always had his paper towel on hand.

There will be no public services at this time. If so desired, memorial donations to Shade's of Hope Wildlife Refuge would be appreciated by the family.
