Darina Sembol

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darina Sembol, on Tuesday August 6, 2024, at the age of 77 in Barrie. She is survived by her three children, George Sembol, Andie Wolf, and Samantha Morris, and her two grandchildren Caiden Wolf Minor and Rowan Wolf Minor. Darina was born on May 11, 1947, in Rimavska Sobota, and she leaves behind a legacy that will be forever cherished by those who knew her.

Darina was a woman of remarkable character, known for her strong will, independence, and sharp wit. She possessed a rare blend of qualities, being stubborn in her convictions and holding high expectations for both herself and those around her, but having a soft spot for anyone who could match her or keep her laughing. Her delight in engaging in lively debates endeared her to many, as she fearlessly stood by her principles with unwavering confidence.

Throughout her life, Darina found joy in a variety of pursuits that defined her essence. From competitive dancing, where she showcased her grace and skill, to tending her gardens and nurturing succulents with care indoors, she found solace and fulfillment in these activities. Her passion for ballroom dancing shone brightly, reflected in the numerous competitions she triumphed in, a testament to her dedication and talent.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Darina will remember her fondly for her generous spirit. Always ready to lend a helping hand to others without seeking anything in return, she touched the lives of many with her kindness and selflessness. Her memory will continue to inspire acts of compassion and goodwill among all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her.
